How long has this provider been serving the community?

Cambrian Homecare celebrated our 20th Anniversary this year in March, 2016. We are one of the longest running homecare providers in Southern California.

Does this provider provide literature?

We are committed to ensuring you have the information you need to make an informed decision about the safety and independence of your loved one at home. We also provide you with a “Patient’s Bill of Rights” outlining the care we take in providing the right caregiver, at the right time, doing the right thing. 

How does this provider train its employees?

We provide intensive orientation and training for every single one of our caregivers to ensure they will be caring and capable in the home.  We also provide monthly CEU training to our certified Home Health Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants who need to meet additional educational requirements.

Are nurses or therapists required to evaluate the patient’s homecare needs?

Whenever a patient is discharged from a care facility with specific healthcare needs, Cambrian Homecare is ready with qualified professionals including LVN’s and RN’s to evaluate care needs and follow that patient on an on-going basis.

Is the family or client involved in developing the plan of care?

Without a doubt, the client and family is involved in designing the plan of care. It is always a collaborative experience for everyone.

Is the patient’s course of treatment documented by caregivers?

Cambrian Homecare has the latest up-to-date charting and charting review program available. We are committed to making certain the family, physician and medical groups are informed of all changes and needs. 

Does this provider assign supervisors to oversee the quality of care?

The Cambrian Homecare motto is “caring and capable.” We ensure this by our teams of supervisors who make visits to the home as well as telephonic review of the care needed and provided.

What are the financial procedures? 

We are a fully licensed and bonded agency. We follow the strictest guidelines for the collection of fees as well as maintaining full disclosure policies for any billing concerns.  Call today for our fee schedule that may correspond with your family member’s needs.

What procedures are in place to handle emergencies? 

There are many kinds of emergencies that arise. However, having been in business for twenty years, we are very well experienced in handling day to day urgencies and also experienced in managing unusual or particularly challenging situations that may arise. Cambrian offers monthly CPR and First Aid classes to our caregivers to teach them how to manage a critical situation in the home while obtaining emergency services, if needed.

How does the provider ensure confidentiality?

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. We follow all the required HIPAA rules designed for homecare.  Your personal information is protected.

Is the home care agency certified? 

Cambrian is licensed through the California Department of Health allowing us to provide both Home Health Nursing and Home Care services.  Click here to learn the difference between Home Health and Home Care.

Is the home care service licensed and bonded? 

Cambrian Homecare is licensed, bonded and we hire our caregivers as employees. This means we handle payment to the caregiver, wage reporting to the government as well as the required state/federal tax and social security withholdings. Our caregivers are covered under workers compensation insurance relieving you of liability for our employee.

Does the home care offer all the services that you need?

If you are paying for your services, how does the agency bill you? Does it accept credit cards?

We send an invoice to the physical or email address of your preference. Payment can be made with a check or credit card, whichever is your preference.

Where can you get help finding financial assistance if you need it?

Some assistance is available. Talk to a Cambrian representative who can help you identify your options.

Are services available seven days a week?

Services and phone contact are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Is there a time limit for services?

In most cases, it is impossible to imagine a time limit or specific length of time home care services are needed. Our services continue as long as you or your loved one needs them.

Are home care workers trained to handle special needs, such as dementia or behavior problems?

We have a training program for all newly hired caregivers as well as training for those who would like to become professional caregivers.
